La comedie

Still you remain the same;
like i never left you

You haven't changed

Still you remain the same;
like i never left you

You find that nothing is familiar

You do not know who i am

You looked towards me

No, it was not me;
you are deceived

You have no memory?

...men on chairs, in chairs...

Your eyes still dream,
still you look faraway

...still you are delicate
in your fragile ways...

...and your scent remains
only yours

You have no memory?

Yes, it was you

Perhaps you looked straight through me
They were us. You and I

You turned for me

Age passed as i stood still for you

How you wish

I understand nothing you say

BANG!

Your face is fear

You are fear

Blood, sweat and tears are nothing very complicated

Just made a self-promo poster for this blog. actually this is my first attempt to make a type-based poster using adobe illustrator. not bad, eh? humm with a lil bit of this and that, and not to mention i spilled a bottle of black ink onto the floor. yes! and ended up cleanin' it whilst watching alex kapranos on TV. a total mess. -..-
i can tell it's a bit grungy and raw on the style. but i simply love the sub headline that said "Blood, sweat and tears are nothing very complicated". i kudos myself for that achievement hahaha.. well i've been in a rollercoaster of life lately, that's where the Blood, sweat and tears phrase came from :d and i realized that this blog seems like a great escapade for me. Things like Blur, damon, graham, drawing, all that stuffs i loved. They keep me busy :)

i'll end the posting with a beautiful quote from Oscar Wilde, no, no it's not the man and the mask quote..hehe but still has something to do with my 'unfinished monkey business' :D
“There are only two tragedies in life: one is not getting what one wants, and the other is getting it.”
good mornin' peeps! i'm off for a nice kip.. see you in the noon :)

Another Coxon's diary on SXSW

Surprisingly i got a wall post in my facebook from Bob London, i thought he gave me the link to his upcoming exhibition, Ship of Fools, or sumthin. turns out the link is about graham :)
BBC got another great photos of Graham on SXSW. Like this one. Graham with a strange hat :) cute, innit? COXONISTA, enjoooy :)

big thx Bob!

Childish illustration disturbingly turns me on

I bought this Xfun magazine (which i never bought this kinda magazine before) from kinokuniya last week just because they featured some great illustrators. Xfun called their works as childish illustration.. a bit lame for me. but nevermind. i love all of their works though. Very inspiring that makes me want to drown myself into a sea of colour.. hummm i think i'm gonna teach myself colouring. and that makes the motion graphic lesson drops to no.2 on my list.

Bjorn Rune Lie (Bristol, UK)

Martin Haake (Berlin, DE)

Linzie Hunter (London, UK)

Amy Brown (London, UK)

Allan Sanders (Brighton, UK)

and my current love. err this is what they called childish illustration. OKIDO magazine for ages 2-7.

nitey peeps :)

Give Damo a chance

This whole week have been all about Graham, but how can i forget you Damo..
i still have 2 days for baking a cake, but nah, i'm not a good cook.

The hats and the lips

perform in the hat shop.

This is likely to be his new hat, the one he wore when he perform at the hotel rooftop. and once again..the lips. aduh O.o

and another lip..

Hats, Suits, Shoes, Glasses..They're all so Coxy.

Graham tweet that he had a gig in a hat shop last wednesday. he also mentioned that he had to find a shoe shop and a suit shop. Can you imagine how addicted he was to that stuff? you can find out the answer here. a video of graham's residence. quite a messy place. but you can see some of his favourite stuff there, stack of hats, clothes and shoes, a cupboard filled with stripee blazers, the lederhosen (the one he felt he got raunchy when he wore them...hummm..okay). I think he became more fashionable when he left Blur. good thing though. so check this out YO..

Graham Coxon performs Sorrow's Army on the rooftop

It was visually written on the rusty metal box and welcomes visitors of his website. The message is dated 18.3.09 the day after the story of Stone Roses reunion appeared on The Mirror. graham for merc - only 100 available in UK

humm reminds me of graham doing suits design for Merc, only he didn't run the clothing line.
"Do you know Merc, the Mod fashion shop? They said to me a while ago, 'Hey, why don't you design a suit?'. And I thought about it and i considered the lack of suits that are actually quite nice, and i thought I'd have a go. I've chosen the cloth, the buttons, the angles of the pockets and the jacket."

And not to mention when he become the model of Cordings menswear for winter. He act like a british gentleman. i wanna cuddle him -..-

Most waited single - Sorrow's Army (radio rip) - Graham Coxon

So he's gone back to 'The Kiss of Morning' sound. what d'you think? otherwise, enjoy his new single. i hope this open source audio last forever, not just a 30-days trial. somehow if you find it blank or the song simply doesn't play. buzz me. i'll re-upload the song and embed it here. cheeeerrs all!

New Layout of Graham's Webbie

Everyone's soooo looking forward for Graham new album, they wondering what the sounds's going to be like. is it the lo-fi 'The Sky is Too High' or poppy ' Love Travels at Illegal Speed"? Could his website tell something? . It's not a spam darling :) there you can see some of his artwork. a bit creepy i must say. If you click on the eye, you can see some drawings and you can hear drumbeat. i guess that's the artwork will be like. and the music used for background, reminds me of essex dogs back to blur in 1997.

Graham on My March Madness

let me ask you a question, why is it so lucky being a blur fans this year? firstly, last december christmas came early for me when damon and graham met up for the first time after his (graham) departure from the band. to spice up some turkey dish, they also set up a reunion concert at hyde park this summer. mmmhhhh.. now we turn to march madness, with pete doherty new album Grace/Wasteland, on which graham coxon played guitars on most of the songs. By the time i wrote this blog, graham's twittering :
"home.fatigue.the shows with peter et al were super nice.paris is a blissful place.dauphinois and steak, cokes, hotel so posh i couldnt sleep!"
yes he just got home from paris after joining pete doherty's tour as the guitar player. but i don't tend to talk about pete here. so here's another madness to come this march, Graham's upcoming album. YAY!!!

Reminiscing the past

Hmm, i'm in my room now, listening to I wanna be adored by stone roses and just receive an email from uncut, telling me that June issues is for free. But why so excited? i live outside UK, i can't even text a message to the number they gave to have chance get the free issue. But the cover story makes me way more than excited. I saw familiar eyes and bowl haircut of someone when the pic's loading on my email.

here's the pic when it's loading, can ya tell me who is it?

Stone Roses it is. '20 Years On. Their Untold Story'. Mmm wondering what other stories i didn't know about'em. I used to be a stone roses whore back then, about 2/3 years ago. I met a guy on myspace (facebook wasn't popular that time) who run a web called this is the day break. This web thisisthedaybreak.co.uk give me more info than any others. the founder, Paul McAuley, wrote deep analysis about every songs and videos. this made me thing that the band is freakin genius on art, yet so religious. he also made a documentary of the stone roses on youtube here. I always recommend his web on my blog.

i dunno, but i was experienced everytime i visit the web, it's like i'm in a classroom studying ian brown and john squire's mind and somehow it related to the art studies i was studying at college that time. (estetika dan sejarah seni rupa barat huehehe) so it just clicked with me :) I suggest all the roses in the world to go to this is the day break for a nerdy experience exploring monkey's mind.

can't wait to go to kinokuniyo bookstore, the only bookstore that sells Uncut mags in Jakarta as far as i know and buy a copy. Anyway, fool's gold is now playing in my room, i suppose i'm baggying around now :) see ya!
